First critical glitch found in next-gen Sony console. The error was reported on Twitter by journalist Jeff Gerstmann.
Gerstmann ran into a problem while playing Spider-Man Remastered on the PlayStation 5. The author noticed that he put the game into standby mode, and when he started it again, he saw that the system had activated the recovery process of the external drive. According to the journalist, he noticed this error several times, and under the same conditions – when launching Spider-Man Remastered.
Jeff Gerstmann emphasized that the error he discovered invariably ends in a black screen on the system. To fix the problem, the user has to press the power button on the console itself. The PS5 then starts up normally, although it issues an error report.
In the comments to the publication, the author clarified that when an error occurs, the console emits two “angry” beeps. When asked why he doesn’t launch Spider-Man Remastered from the PS5’s built-in drive, Gerstmann remarked that he was used to storing games on an external drive.
The PlayStation 5 will be available on November 19th. Earlier, the video blogger AngryCentaurGaming spoke about a serious breakdown of the Sony console, which he encountered while recording a review. According to the author, at first the PS5 informed him of an error with the drive, then there were problems with the Internet and the launch of the device.
