A resident of the American state of Tennessee did not find the desired lottery ticket in the store, bought an analogue and became rich big, reports the UPI information portal.
Brien Fox was heading to Kansas for his annual hunt. On the way, he stopped at a Garnett gas station and stopped by the store to buy some instant lottery tickets. He planned to take Holiday Lucky Times tickets for $ 5 and $ 10 (381 and 762 rubles), but they were not available. Then he bought a ten-dollar Jewel Jackpot ticket.
“While the car was being refueled, I erased the protective layer on the lottery ticket,” says Fox. When the American discovered that he had won 75 thousand dollars (5.7 million rubles), he immediately called his wife. “She was shocked! She couldn’t believe that it really happened,” says the winner.
The American plans to spend part of the prize money to contribute the remaining amount of the education loan. “I don’t even remember what it would be like to live without these monthly contributions,” he admits. “This prize could have gone to someone else, so I am very grateful.”
Earlier it was reported that a couple from the Australian state of New South Wales by mistake bought the wrong product in the store and got rich. They accidentally bought a lottery ticket for September 12th, although they had originally planned to participate in another draw.
