Scientists have discovered an unexpected consequence of the flu shot. The research results were posted on the American Heart Association website.
Experts have found that the risk of death of patients with cardiovascular diseases who received a similar vaccine is 18 percent less than that of other patients. They added that those vaccinated against the flu were 13 percent less likely to have heart problems. It is noted that vaccination also reduced the risk of death from other diseases by 28 percent.
Earlier it was reported that vaccination with a live influenza vaccine may be effective in fight against coronavirus, providing additional protection to the body. Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor at the School of Systems Biology, University George Mason (USA) Ancha Baranova said a live flu vaccine could provide some cross-protection against the coronavirus. She explained that any viral infection causes non-specific cross-protection against other viral infections at the level of T-cell immunity.
