WHO reveals record growth in coronavirus infections

The World Health Organization (WHO) reported a record increase in the number of coronavirus infections in a week , reports TASS .

So, over the past week, the number of people infected worldwide has increased by 3,977,223. The number of fatalities amounted to 59,699. Both indicators have increased significantly compared to the previous seven days, when 3,695,495 new cases were detected and died 54 835 people.

WHO said that while Europe continues to report the highest number of cases, it fell 10 percent last week from the previous seven days as a result of increased public health and community action. In total, 1,840,085 cases of infection and 29,043 deaths were detected in Europe over the past week.

In the Americas, the number of infected increased by more than 1.45 million in a week, 19 thousand people died. More than 373 thousand people have been infected in the Southeast Asia region, and the number of deaths in seven days exceeded 4.5 thousand.

On November 14, the World Health Organization (WHO) again revealed a record for cases coronavirus infection per day. The total number of detected cases of COVID-19 infection was 657 312. Most of the infected specialists were recorded per day in Europe (more than 285 thousand), North and South America (more than 269 thousand) and Southeast Asia (more than 55 thousand).
