Deputy Verkhovna Rada from the Golos faction Yaroslav Zheleznyak compared the measures introduced in Ukraine to combat the spread of coronavirus, with plantain fracture treatment. He stated this from the rostrum of the parliament, “112 Ukraine” reports.
“Everyone saw how this weekend went. Everyone saw that some restaurants continued to work. Some cities refused to comply with quarantine conditions,” Zheleznyak was outraged. In his opinion, if such restrictions help in the fight against COVID-19, it will be pure coincidence. He invited parliament to reconsider the restrictive measures in order to ease the situation for entrepreneurs, who are particularly affected by what is happening.
November 14, a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Nadezhda Savchenko called the weekend quarantine introduced in Ukraine” a great stupidity and crime “against the citizens of the country. “There is a disease, but I do not think that the economy should be ruined because of the disease. Medicine should be strengthened because of the disease,” the politician explained.
Government of Ukraine introduced a weekend quarantine throughout the country from November 14. From 00:00 Saturday to 00:00 Monday, only critical infrastructure objects will be able to work: grocery stores, pharmacies, transport. On weekends, the work of shopping and entertainment centers, fitness centers, swimming pools and gyms, theaters will be prohibited. It will not be possible to hold mass events, visit cafes, restaurants and entertainment venues.
