Woman gave birth to her own sister

A resident of the Scottish city of Inverness carried a child for her mother and gave birth to her own sister, reports the Daily Record.

25-year-old Hollie Summers was carrying a baby for her 49-year-old mother Faye. Faye and Summers’ 46-year-old stepfather Andrew dreamed of a child for many years but could not conceive.

They offered Summers to become a surrogate mother. The embryo was planned to be created using Andrew’s sperm and one of Fay’s frozen eggs, which was retrieved in 2014. But when the doctors found out that the eggs were not viable, Holly not only became a surrogate mother, but also acted as an egg donor.

Summers gave birth in October and lasted 41 hours. She gave birth to a baby girl named Willow. Summers already has a three-year-old daughter, Arwen. The woman fully admits that the child she has born is her mother’s daughter.

The family plans to tell Willow about her parentage when she grows up. “Her story is unusual, but she was born in love, which is the most important thing,” Summers said.

Faye, who now has four children, said, “I will always tell Willow what her amazing sister did. I don’t know how to thank Holly.”

Earlier it was reported that a resident of the American state of Minnesota twice became a mother with a difference in a few weeks. One of her daughters was carried by her mother.
