Kazakhstan signed an agreement with Pfizer on the procurement of American vaccine against coronavirus. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the country’s Deputy Minister of Health Marat Shoranov.
According to him, the authorities of the republic are going to issue documents for registration and application to the drug in the near future. The timing of its delivery will depend on the company’s production capacity. Shoranov noted that the American vaccine has strict requirements for storage and transportation, as well as “a distinctive cost – it is up to two times more expensive than the same vaccine produced in the Russian Federation.” The volume of purchases of the drug has not yet been disclosed.
Earlier, Kazakhstan launched on its territory the mass production of Russian vaccine against coronavirus ” Satellite V “. The immunization campaign in the republic will begin in February, first of all, health workers, teachers, students, law enforcement officers will be vaccinated law enforcement organs , medical and social institutions, as well as citizens with chronic diseases.
