Cyberpunk 2077 creators sued over game quality

The authors of Cyberpunk 2077 have been sued in the US, according to a press release from the Rosen Law Firm published at site Business Wire.

The statement says that the defendant in the case is CD Projekt RED. The plaintiff accuses the creator of Cyberpunk 2077 of releasing a poor-quality and unfinished title. Lawyers noted a huge number of errors and bugs that were present in the game, especially on the previous generation consoles. As a result, users were forced to massively return their copies of the game, Sony even had to delete Cyberpunk 2077 from their store.

The statement also says that all this time CD Projekt RED has been deliberately giving false information to partners and consumers and provided incorrect reporting. Representatives of the law firm noted that as a result of the problematic game, the company’s investors suffered significant losses. Rosen Law Firm’s lawyers have demanded that CD Projekt RED take responsibility for the reputation and financial costs of its partners.

The conclusion says that a class action lawsuit against the studio has already been filed. Rosen Law Firm is asking everyone to join the lawsuit against CD Projekt RED until February 22, 2021.

In mid-December, the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 admitted problems with the game on the previous consoles generations and apologized to gamers. “We should have paid more attention to making the game perform better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One,” the company said in a statement. Representatives of CD Projekt RED asked the players to give them time to fix the situation, but also invited everyone to issue a return of the game.
