Ecosystem of energy hub of St. Petersburg united 100 companies

Yandex.Cloud has become the hundredth electronic resident of the Petersburg energy technology hub, which was organized at the beginning of the year by the Administration of St. Petersburg and by Gazprom Neft … Over the past three months, the number of residents of the power engineering hub has increased fivefold. This Lente.ru was told in the press service of the project.

The participants of the energy technology hub united in 2020 to address 70 technological challenges of the energy industry. These include projects in the field of the development of renewable energy sources, automation and industrial safety systems, geological exploration tools, subsea mining complexes and robotic technologies.

One of the successful projects in the energy technology hub ecosystem was the development of the first Russian bottom stations for offshore seismic exploration. The model was named “Crab” and was created by engineers of the Marine Technical Center of St. Petersburg by order of Gazprom Neft and Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia . More than 3 thousand Crabs have already been involved in the exploration of oil fields in the Sea of Okhotsk. Currently, the project continues its development – in the Barents Sea in November 2020, Flounder seismic stations were successfully tested. This is the second modification of the Crab model for deep-sea operations on the Arctic shelf.

Development of a new generation automated drilling complex has become another significant innovative project. Together with Gazprom Neft, the project is being implemented by electronic residents – Uralmash NGO Holding, Yandex.Cloud and Bitrobotics, which is participating in an international project to develop the lunar program Boeing and NASA a >.

The first foreign companies joined the ecosystem at the end of this year. Together with the Austrian TDE Group, several Russian enterprises are working on the creation of a high-speed data transmission system for directional drilling of oil and gas wells. In partnership with the Belgian company Khaos and the international institute IMEC, the residents of the hub are developing technologies for detecting greenhouse gas leaks.

“The main principle of the energy technology hub is that we build cooperation with leading companies and institutions of St. Petersburg and the country as a whole. Our partnerships help residents to reach levels of interaction that were previously unavailable. In Russia, there has never been anything like this. technology center at the level of the whole city, with the development of the status of electronic residents and relocation programs “, – said the head of the project office of the Petersburg energy technology hub from Gazprom Neft Andrey Vlasov .
