LPR accused Kiev of placing armored vehicles on contact line

The self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) recorded the placement of Ukrainian armored vehicles on the contact line in Donbass. This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the press service of the LPR people’s police.

According to the armed forces of the republic, Kiev began to pull troops into the area of the village of Troitskoye, which is under the control of the Ukrainian armed forces. Now there are 13 units of armored vehicles. “The enemy continues to deploy weapons and military equipment in settlements on the territory controlled by Ukraine,” the press service said.

In this regard, the LPR accused Ukraine of violating the ceasefire, which has been in effect in the Donbass since July 27. Kiev has not yet commented on these statements.

An indefinite ceasefire has been in effect in Donbass since July 27, agreed within the framework of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) by representatives of Ukraine, Russia and OSCE . This is the 21st attempt to honor the agreement on an indefinite ceasefire in the region, but the parties regularly accuse each other of violating the silence.

In 2014, part of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions declared independence after the change of power in Ukraine. Kiev tried to return the regions by force and accused Russia of occupation. The Kremlin rejects the claims.
