Head of RDIF explained limited supply of Sputnik V vaccine to West

Chapter Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev explained why the supply of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine to European countries and USA will be limited. He told about this on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel, reports TASS .

According to him, the refusal of Western countries from the drug occurred due to geopolitical restrictions. “Although we could, among other things, supply allergy sufferers who are now severely allergic to a number of other vaccines,” Dmitriev emphasized.

He noted that Russia intends to supply the vaccine to Hungary and Serbia. “But we will move gradually with European countries,” said the head of the RDIF, adding that the main markets are Latin America, the Middle East, Asia, Africa.

Earlier, the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry Mevlut Cavusoglu said that the government is considering not only the supply of the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik V coronavirus, but also its joint production. He noted that cooperation with Russia on the vaccine against coronavirus is proceeding normally.
