In most of Russia, precipitation is expected in the coming January within the multi-year climatic norm. This is evidenced by the data of the Hydrometeorological Center, which is published by RIA Novosti .
“The average monthly air temperature in most of the territory is about average long-term values; in the west of the North-Western and Central federal districts, in the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea – one degree higher than normal,” the forecasters said.
At the same time, the monthly temperature will be one degree higher than normal in Taimyr, and in the Omsk and Novosibirsk regions, in the Altai Territory, the Altai Republic and in the south of the Far Eastern Federal District – by a degree lower. The amount of precipitation in most regions will also correspond to the norm, but in the Crimea, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, in the Tomsk, Novosibirsk and Kemerovo regions, in the north of the Magadan region, and in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, they will fall below average. In Taimyr, Buryatia, Trans-Baikal Territory and Amur Region – more than average.
Earlier it was reported that the regions of Western Siberia on New Year’s holidays will be covered by the second wave abnormal frosts – the air temperature will drop to minus 42 degrees. So, in the first decade of January frosty weather will be set at 8-10 degrees below normal.
