US Vice President Refuses to Challenge Biden’s Victory

US Vice President Michael Pence refused to revise the results of the presidential elections, which was won by a Democrat Joseph Biden . The Hill newspaper writes about this citing court documents.

They note that lawyers for the Republican Congressman from Texas Louis Homert spoke about Pence’s refusal to challenge Biden’s victory. The vice president denied their request to join the lawsuit.

Homert previously filed a lawsuit against Pence in a Texas state court with the intention of proving that he has the exclusive right to determine which members of the electoral college will be considered at the joint session on January 6 Senate and House of Representatives of the US Congress upon the official approval of the collegium vote on December 14.

Thus, the lawsuit contains a request to the court to give Pence the right to cancel the results of presidential elections in the vacillating states. However, the Vice President himself did not publicly respond to this situation.

Previously, the US President Donald Trump called Republican Party fight for his victory in the presidential elections. He stated that the evidence for his victory was irrefutable and spoke of the “massive ballot stuffing” in the mail.

On December 15, it became known that the US presidential candidate from Democratic Party a> Joe Biden received the electoral votes needed to win the presidential race. Trump has repeatedly refused to admit defeat in the US presidential election. He believes Biden lost the election “by a wide margin in all six wavering states” and the results were rigged.

The inauguration of the new US President will take place on January 20.
