General Director Urban Innovative Technologies Sergey Minko named agency “Prime” of Russians who run the risk of being left without electricity and water from January 1, 2021 for debts on housing and communal services.
The expert explained that a certain time is given to pay the debt – if the consumer has paid off at least part of the debt, this already becomes an excuse not to disconnect him from the resource. Moreover, if a person ignores the first warning, he will receive a second, and only then the management company can go to court with a request to collect the debt.
The specialist noted that each debtor has enough time to pay off the debt and not bring the situation to an extreme degree. However, if the debtor for a long time ignores warnings that the electricity or water may be turned off, bailiffs will join the case.
According to him, it is better not to lead to such a situation, and, starting from the new year, gradually pay off debts for housing and communal services.
