Russia: an official was sent to a colony for a child with frostbitten legs

In Bryansk, an official of the mayor’s office was sent to a colony-settlement for a year because she did not follow the dysfunctional family, where they found an adopted girl with frostbitten legs. This was reported on website of the prosecutor’s office of the Bryansk region .

According to the investigation, the convicted Russian woman worked as the head of the guardianship and trusteeship group of the committee for youth, family, motherhood and childhood of the city administration.

From April 2016 to May 2020, she did not control the conditions in which the adopted child lives and how the parents fulfill their responsibilities for his maintenance and upbringing. Because of this, the girl’s health was severely damaged, according to the prosecutor’s office.

The official was found guilty under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code (“Negligence, resulting in grievous bodily harm by negligence”). In addition to imprisonment, the court banned her for two years from holding positions in the bodies in the field of guardianship and guardianship related to organizational and administrative functions.

In June, in one of the private houses of the city they found an exhausted seven-year-old girl with frostbitten feet. The child had dirty clothes, an unpleasant odor emanated from him, he was immediately hospitalized.

Presumably, the child’s parents abused alcohol. By the time the girl was found, her mother had not been home for the second week, and her father was drinking all the time. She was taken to his neighbor – a man went to them for a drink and saw a thin girl in the middle of the mess, outwardly she looked not seven years old, but three years old. He washed and fed the girl, and then went to the police.
