Libya has denied the abduction of Russians and named the reason for their detention. The head of MFA of the Government of National Accord (PNC) of Libya Muhammad Siyala told about this, reports RIA Novosti .
According to him, the citizens of Russia on the boat, apparently, got lost and swam into Libyan waters, so the authorities arrested them. Siyala noted that he had reached an agreement with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on deportation, and in accordance with this agreement, the Russians were sent home.
Formerly a member of Public Chamber of Russia Alexander Malkevich reported that a group of Russians and one citizen of Ukraine were released from Libyan captivity. He noted that a few weeks ago they were captured and kidnapped in Libya.
