Abnormal cold will come to a number of Russian regions. The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand warned about this, reports TASS .
According to his forecast, the air temperature will be significantly lower than normal in the Urals: in the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Tyumen regions. At night in these regions it is expected to reach minus 25-30 degrees, which is 5-10 degrees colder than usual.
Also, the next wave of abnormal cold will cover the regions of Western Siberia. So, the temperature will be 15-18 degrees below normal in the Omsk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Kemerovo regions and in the Altai Territory. Frosts will reach 40-43 degrees, the meteorologist predicted. It will be unusually cold in the south of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in the Irkutsk Region and Tuva. Severe weather, and weakening of frosts is possible only at the end of the first decade.
At the same time, in the Far East, on the contrary, anomalous heat is expected. In the north of Taimyr and in Yakutia, the temperature is 20-25 degrees above normal, the scientist noted.
Earlier, Vilfand promised a mild winter option for residents of the European part of Russia. According to him, from January 4, the temperature will be mainly in the subzero zone. The forecaster also urged not to wait for the harsh Christmas cold.
