Bailiffs exacted almost 13 billion from Russians for traffic fines in a year

State Traffic Safety Inspectorate sent to the bailiffs decisions on which enforcement proceedings were initiated, at 18 , 5 billion rubles. RIA Novosti told the deputy head of the department for the organization of enforcement proceedings of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) Lieutenant Colonel internal service Dmitry Zheludkov.

At the same time, he clarified that this amount is 700 million less than in the same period last year.

Zheludkov added that they managed to recover 12.9 billion rubles.

The fine from the traffic police turns into a legal debt after 60 days allotted for its voluntary payment. After two months, the fine from the traffic police automatically goes to the FSSP.
