Company “Information Satellite Systems” named after academician M.F. Reshetnev “(ISS, part of the State Corporation” Roscosmos “) held a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council. The Council of the country’s leading satellite construction company summed up the results of 2020. The participants of the meeting, chaired by the Acting CEO of ISS, Yuri Vygonsky, reviewed the results of the firm’s activities and identified the tasks for the future.
Over the past year, 11 satellites for the development and manufacture of ISS were launched into various types of orbits. Today, the enterprise is working on the creation of more than 40 spacecraft in the interests of various customers, including foreign ones. As part of these projects, Reshetnevskaya Firm is modernizing the space segment of the GLONASS Global Navigation Satellite System, the Gonets-D1M personal satellite communication system, and the Luch Multifunctional Space Relay System.
In 2020, ISS received 90 patents and certificates for inventions, industrial designs, utility models and computer programs. For scientific and technical achievements, one specialist of the enterprise was awarded a state award and seven – the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation.
The company also confirmed its level of professionalism at the Professional Skills Championship of the Roscosmos State Corporation, where it won the winner’s Cup for the third time in a row. Products created by ISS still account for two-thirds of the Russian orbital constellation and include 105 satellites.
