In State Duma an insult to the Russians by a Finnish fan reacted, whose poster with the inscription ” overthrown “was captured by the camera during a live broadcast of the match for third place at the 2021 World Cup (World Cup). A State Duma deputy Igor Lebedev told about this in a conversation with “Championship.ru”.
According to him, such an expression addressed to Russian fans and hockey players was offensive. At the same time, he said that in Russia, people sometimes do not hold back and perform similar actions in relation to foreign citizens.
“This is a common behavior among fans, almost all fans speak out derogatory and insulting to the fans of another country,” Lebedev said. He recalled that in sports games such behavior is considered normal. In this regard, he advised, there is no need to “make an elephant out of a fly.”
Lebedev added that after this incident, there should be no consequences for the Finnish fan.

It contained the colloquial Finnish word “Russia”, which is often used in a disparaging manner towards Russian speakers.
