Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia gave a sermon in the temple Christ the Savior , in which he concluded that disbelief in coronavirus can be equated with disbelief in God, reports TASS .
“There are people who do not believe in anything – they do not believe in illness or danger, they neglect these medical prescriptions,” he said, noting that these are “stupid people.” Patriarch Kirill said that neglect of security measures during a pandemic is “deadly”.
“It is very dangerous when people do not believe in God, it is deadly. It is just as dangerous today if people do not believe in the spread of infection and do not protect themselves from this infection,” he explained.
The Patriarch urged Russians not to forget about safety, about all the prescriptions and use modern medicine. In particular, he reminded about precautions when visiting temples, and also recommended to be more with family.
