About fifty opposition figures in Hong Kong were arrested on Wednesday (January 6th) under the national security law, told the Agency France-Presse (AFP) two high-ranking police sources who requested anonymity. This is the largest operation carried out against critics of Beijing in this context.
Members of the opposition and parties have for their part reported on their Facebook and Twitter accounts at least twenty and one arrests, mostly for “subversion”.
