Novak predicted an imminent decline in lockdowns

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak predicted an imminent decline in lockdowns, which were introduced due to the coronavirus pandemic. His words are conveyed by TASS .

According to Novak, the Russian government is optimistic about this issue and believes in vaccines that have appeared on the world market. He recalled that two such drugs are registered in Russia. They are used not only domestically, but also abroad, the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

“We believe in vaccinations. As the [Saudi Energy Minister] said, the lockdowns will have to end soon and the situation will improve,” Novak concluded.

In December, Novak reported that the emergence of a new strain of coronavirus in the UK led to changes in the oil market. Lockdown led to a significant correction in oil prices, he noted, adding that the situation in the oil market is unpredictable and the recovery is taking place at a slower pace.
