Doctors revealed to Russians rules for doing sports on street in winter

When playing sports on the street in winter, you should follow the rules so as not to get sick. Therapist Tatyana Romanenko revealed them to the Russians, reports URA.RU.

According to Romanenko, clothes should not be too warm – the body will overheat in it, and after the end of activity, the body will quickly cool down. In addition, it costs no longer than an hour to be outside. At temperatures below minus 10 degrees, high humidity and strong winds “you need to be especially careful and listen to yourself more often,” the specialist noted.

She added that in the open air in a pandemic, a medical mask is not needed, but it is mandatory indoors. Romanenko recalled the importance of maintaining social distance and personal hygiene when renting sports equipment. She called the main rule the refusal to play sports, especially indoors, at the slightest sign of a cold.

Sports medicine physician Ilya Melekhin added that it is important to warm up before any sports activity in order to avoid injury. Thus, it will be possible to protect against dislocations and sprains, the doctor explained. He also called for correlating needs with the capabilities of the body.

Earlier, otolaryngologist Vladimir Zaitsev told that on the street in cold weather you don’t need to wrap a scarf around your entire face, breathe often and deeply, especially during classes sports, as well as not having “full meals” on the street and not drinking coffee, cold drinks and any soda, but only unsweetened tea.
