Covid-19: teleworking remains privileged in France, but will be relaxed from Thursday

Employees who feel the need will be able to return to their workplace, one day a week, explained the Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne.

As of Thursday, January 7, teleworking employees will be able to return once a week to the company, if they “feel the need” and with the agreement of their employer. “I continue to say that we must give priority to teleworking (…), on the other hand I mean the employees (…) who can no longer take it any longer. We must understand these psychological problems, these employees who suffer from isolation”, a repeated, Tuesday, January 5, the Minister of Labor, Elisabeth Borne, on Franceinfo .

Since the at the end of October, the corporate health protocol imposes teleworking as a rule, specifying that it must be increased to 100% when all the tasks can be performed remotely. The relaxation of full teleworking will therefore only be done on the basis of the employee’s voluntary work and with the employer’s agreement.
