Pentagon allows 15 thousand troops to be used during Biden’s inauguration

The Pentagon has allowed up to 15,000 troops to be deployed in Washington during the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden. This was stated by the head of the US National Guard, General Daniel Hawkanson, reports The Washington Post.

At the moment, there are already six thousand guards in the American capital, Hawkanson said. By the weekend, their number will increase to ten thousand. The exact number of troops will depend on federal agency support requirements.

Joe Biden’s inauguration is scheduled for January 20.
