Press secretary of mayor of Yakutsk revealed reason for her resignation

The mayor of Yakutsk, Sardana Avksentieva, who announced her resignation, was not pressured. The details of its decision were shared by the press secretary of the head of the city Alexey Tolstyakov in Facebook .

“This is a decision that was made at the family council and supported by the closest circle – the team of Sardana Vladimirovna. I want to emphasize that this decision was made without the participation of third parties,” he stressed.

According to Tolstyakov, the mayor’s health is deteriorating, and if she continues to work in the same rhythm, the processes in her body will have irreversible consequences. He did not disclose the details of the upcoming treatment of Avksentieva, noting only that she had to undergo surgery.

The representative of the mayor added that the operation is fraught with great risks, and after that she will have a long period of rehabilitation and recovery, during which any stress and shock is contraindicated for her.

Avksentieva announced her early resignation due to her health condition on January 11. She admitted that she could no longer work 24 hours a day all year round. Soon the head of the city is going to go to the hospital, where she will undergo surgery.

The head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, wished the head of the city a speedy recovery and said that he understood her decision. “For any person, the priority is family and health. She does not want to let down her voters, citizens and does not want her work to suffer because of health problems,” he said.

Evgeny Grigoriev, First Deputy Mayor for Development of Territories, will be appointed as Acting Head of the City.
