According to her, the leader of the country committed “subversive actions” and should be removed in accordance with the 25th amendment to the US Constitution on the president’s inability to fulfill his duties. Pelosi said the US president is a “very dangerous person” who should not be in office. “This is the most urgent priority,” she said.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives issued an ultimatum, noting that if the Trump Cabinet does not try to eliminate him in accordance with the amendment, Congress may organize impeachment.

The temporary transfer of presidential powers is provided for by the 25th amendment to the US Constitution, adopted in 1967. Before the US President George W. Bush this amendment had only been used once. In 1985, Ronald Reagan transferred authority to George W. Bush .
