Fate of Capitol police officer who shot at woman-veteran is revealed

The police officer who shot the veteran woman during the storming of the Capitol has been sent on leave pending investigation. His fate was revealed on the Capitol Police website (PC).

According to PC head Stephen Sund, the gunman’s police powers were suspended pending a joint investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department and the US PC.

It is also indicated that the victim “was immediately provided with medical assistance, she was taken to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries.”

Ashley Babitt was shot in the chest in the Capitol building, after which died a > in the hospital. Her husband told that she served in the US Air Force for 14 years and was a high-ranking official security services.

On January 6, protesters of the current US President Donald Trump broke into the Capitol building and surrounded the Senate Hall, interrupting the meeting at which it was planned to approve the results of the electoral college vote. According to these results, the Democrat Joe Biden won the presidential elections. Later it became known that the Capitol building in Washington was cleared of protesters.
