Iraqi court issues arrest warrant for Trump

A court in Iraqi Baghdad investigating the death of Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, deputy head of the Al-Hashd al-Shaabi militia, issued an arrest warrant for the US President Donald Trump . This was reported by RIA Novosti citing the press service of the Supreme Judicial Council of Iraq.

“A judge in the court of Al Rasaf, authorized to investigate the murder of the deputy head of the militia (…), decided to issue an arrest warrant for US President Donald Trump on the basis of the provisions of article 406 of the current Iraqi criminal code,” the agency quotes a statement from the press service .

It is noted that there are videos in the case materials in which Trump claims that he himself gave the order to strike.

On January 2, it was reported that the Iranian naval forces increased combat readiness in the Persian Gulf in preparation for the anniversary of the assassination of Soleimani.
