German Chancellor Angela Merkel promised to be vaccinated against coronavirus when her turn comes as part of a vaccination campaign. She spoke about this in her New Year’s address to citizens, reports Reuters .

In Germany, top priority is given to those over 80 years old, residents and nursing home staff, and nursing staff. Merkel is in the third priority group, which includes citizens over 60 years old.
