Biden accidentally named Kamala Harris President-elect

US President-elect Joe Biden made a slip and accidentally named Kamala Harris, who will take the post of vice president in his administration, the future leader of the country, reports The Sun.

The incident occurred during Biden’s speech in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware on Tuesday, December 29. In his speech, the politician touched upon the COVID-19 crisis and expressed the hope that the current US President Donald Trump will appeal to the citizens of the country to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.

“I was vaccinated publicly to instill public confidence in the vaccine. President-elect Harris did it today for the same reason,” Biden said. The politician did not notice the slip of the tongue and continued his speech as if nothing had happened.

At the end of October, Biden misnamed the country’s President Donald Trump, most likely confusing it with the former head of state George W. Bush .
