The President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a law on the minimum price for tobacco products, it will enter into force next spring, RIA Novosti reports. The minimum price will be set by the government, it will not be possible to sell below it.
According to the authors of the document, the new law will avoid the risk of unjustified understatement of prices, which impedes the implementation of state policy in the field of public health protection and prevent the saturation of the Russian tobacco market with cheap counterfeit products.
