Friends from the Australian suburb of Melbourne, Victoria hit the jackpot thanks to a long tradition, according to The Lott.
The Australian woman anonymously revealed that she and a friend have been playing the lottery for the past few years using numbers drawn blindly from a hat. “All this time we played with one set of numbers,” she explained. “He told me his favorite numbers, I also had mine, and we just mixed them in a hat and then pulled them out for a draw.”
An unusual method of playing the lottery brought friends one million Australian dollars (56 million rubles).
The winner has already decided what to spend her part of the winnings on. She plans to make wooden floors in the house, buy a new car and help the family.
Previously it was reported that eight Australians have played the lottery with one and the same combination of numbers and hit the jackpot. A group of friends, who had left for different cities of the country during this time, had been throwing off lottery tickets for ten years and used a certain set of numbers in them.
