Police came to illegal corporate office of mayor’s office of Russian city

In the city of Verkhniy Ufaley (Chelyabinsk region), the police stopped a New Year’s corporate party in a cafe where employees of the local mayor’s office gathered, violating the restrictions imposed due to Covid-19. About this on Saturday, December 26, citing its own source in law enforcement agencies reports the publication Znak.com.

According to the source, on Friday evening, December 25, the police took 29 people out of the cafe and took explanatory letters from everyone. According to the source, the heads of the mayor’s office were not present at the celebration – there were, in particular, employees of the department of land relations, property management, legal department and other specialists.

The press center of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs refused to comment on this information and offered to contact the mayor’s office of Verkhny Ufaley. However, the head of the city Vera Uskova did not answer the call of the journalist of the publication.

As noted by Znak.com, the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region Alexey Teksler until 11 January 2021 introduced a ban on show programs in restaurants and night catering. Restrictive measures were introduced in connection with the Covid-19 pandemic.
