Russian economists have listed professions where salaries may increase in 2021. Experts named them in an interview with Ura.ru.
According to economist Konstantin Selyanin, salary increases should be expected in those industries where the economy allows it. First of all, this applies to the areas of online consumption and online education, as incomes in them increased during the pandemic and will continue to grow in the next year.
Another expert, Vitaly Kalugin, said that salary increases are more likely in IT companies. “People who are connected with IT are tied in salary to the currency. That is, in order to keep the programmers in place, you have to pay them about the same as they would receive if they left for Cyprus or the Czech Republic,” he said.
Kalugin added that realtors can also count on income growth, since the real estate market promises to be more active than in 2020.
Earlier it was reported that the Russians have revealed their expectations for wages in 2021. According to a survey of online job search service SuperJob, more than half (59 percent) of citizens expect job hikes, and 36 percent just dream of stability.
