Details of death of a Moscow metro passenger during arrest have emerged

The man who died during the arrest in the Moscow metro turned out to be a retired officer and had previously served in one of the power structures. Details of the incident are reported by ” Moskovsky Komsomolets ” on Sunday, December 27.

It is clarified that the Muscovite in the spring of this year had had a coronavirus, and also complained of pain in his legs, but he had no serious health problems. The circumstances of the death of the 57-year-old metro passenger are being established.

The incident took place on December 26 at the Shchukinskaya metro station. According to the publication, the man tried to replenish his travel ticket and, having failed due to problems that arose, began to beat the terminal, than attracted the attention of law enforcement officers.

The footage posted on the network shows how several employees are trying to detain a riotous passenger, who resists. At some point, the man suddenly becomes ill and falls to the floor.

“During the arrest, the unknown person lost consciousness. First aid was provided to him and an ambulance was immediately called. The arrived doctors declared death,” the press service told Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, noting that an inspection is being carried out on the fact of the incident, the man’s body is sent for examination.
