The military commented on an accidental shot by a 19-year-old corporal from a cannon of a BMD-4 airborne assault vehicle at store “Detsky Mir” in Pskov. As reported by TASS citing the command of the Pskov garrison, the incident occurred on December 24 while servicing equipment and weapons in the park combat vehicles.
According to the command, the shot occurred involuntarily, no one was hurt.
“There was an involuntary shot from a 30-mm cannon. A metal blank without an explosive at the end of its trajectory fell on the outskirts of the city onto an uninhabited building. No one was injured as a result of the accident,” the message says.
At the same time, Baza wrote that the blank broke through the roof of the Fjord Plaza shopping and entertainment center, located on the outskirts of Pskov , and ended up in the “Children’s world”.
The circumstances of the incident are established by law enforcement agencies in conjunction with the command of the military unit.
