Specialists of the contracting organization of the Center for Operation of Ground-Based Space Infrastructure Facilities (TSENKI, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) have begun work on the installation of the lining of the gas reflector for the launch pad of the Angara space rocket complex.
By the efforts of the “Industrial Technologies” company, metal structures are being installed, a set of embedded parts is being assembled. In the near future, steel plates with a thickness of 100 mm will be installed on them, the maximum weight of such parts is 8 tons. Such cladding will further protect the gas duct from thermal gas-dynamic effects during launches of carrier rockets of the Angara family.
In December 2019, TsENKI and contractors installed large gas storage tanks at the Angara launch site, and these are 9 unique tanks weighing 92 tons and 36 meters long each. In October 2020, work was completed on the installation of large tanks for storing naphthyl, weighing 24 tons.
Ground-based technological equipment for the construction of the launch complex of the Angara space rocket complex has been supplied to the Vostochny Space Center (a branch of TsENKI at the Vostochny cosmodrome, part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) since September 2018. For its storage, the branch has prepared special storage areas on the territory of the Industrial Construction and Operational Base with an area of more than 70,000 m2, as well as at the launch complex itself.
