American forecasters included rainfall in the form of iguanas in the weather forecast. A related message was posted on Twitter of the National Meteorological Service of Miami.
According to the WKBN portal, this phenomenon occurs due to a cold snap. At night, iguanas climb trees to rest. However, at 4.5 degrees Aim (40 degrees Fahrenheit), they freeze and can fall from trees to the ground.
The publication warns that it does not harm reptiles. When exposed to sunlight, they thaw back, but in this state they can be aggressive and bite.
