Woman with two uterus gave birth to triplets

In Britain, a woman with a congenital defect, due to which two uterus form in the body, gave birth to triplets. She carried twins in one womb, and a third child in the second. The Daily Mail reports.

Melanie Bassett, 32, already had two children. However, when doctors announced her triple pregnancy, the woman was shocked.

She first learned about her pathology in 2016, when she was pregnant with her eldest daughter. Two years later, she became pregnant again, then the couple had their first son.

According to doctors, the chance of a woman with two uterus to bear and give birth to triplets is estimated at one in a million. Bassett became the first woman in Britain to do this.

Pathology does not complicate conception, but it can provoke the risk of miscarriage or premature birth. According to the woman herself, she was uncomfortable that the triplets were simultaneously kicking in the womb from all sides.

However, now the large family is happy. “We’re really looking forward to Christmas. We can’t wait to see their faces on Christmas morning. It’s all about the kids,” Bassett admitted.
