According to the agency, the package of measures provides for an additional $ 300 in unemployment benefits, direct payments of $ 600 to some categories of citizens.
The package also includes measures to support businesses, schools, healthcare providers, and tenants facing eviction due to inability to pay their rent bills.
The House and Senate are expected to vote on the new initiative on Monday, December 21.
Earlier in December, the chapter US Treasury Department Steve Mnuchin offered new assistance to the US economy. The amount of aid announced by Mnuchin is $ 916 billion, eight billion more than the option previously approved by representatives of the two leading parties in Congress.
