Available Thunderbird 78.6.0 mail client release. In the new version, the OpenPGP implementation solves problems when importing and defining keys, improved parsing of embedded PGP signatures, and
continued expanding functionality for add-ons (MailExtensions):

  • Implemented the browser.windows.openDefaultBrowser () method to open a page in a browser.
  • The API for manipulating the menu has been enabled in the compose window.
  • The allowScriptsToClose argument has been implemented in the windows.create function.
  • The APIs returning accountId will now be return the account ID associated with the message, rather than specified in the email header.
