Odessa: a first-grader “mined” a school and went to play with a cat

More than 400 students were evacuated from a secondary school in Odessa due to an anonymous call about mining. A first-grader reported about an explosive device in order to go home as soon as possible, writes ” Strana.ua ” citing the national police of the region.

According to information from law enforcement officers, on December 17, a six-year-old girl called hot number 102 and said that a bomb had been planted on the school grounds. The security forces could not immediately figure out the identity of the child and evacuated all the students. Later, the police and social welfare officers came to the girl’s home. “The child explained his act by the desire to go home as soon as possible and play with the cat,” the police said.

Law enforcement officers held an explanatory conversation with the girl and indicated that her act led to a disruption of the educational process in the entire school and forced emergency services specialists to solve a non-existent problem when someone really could need help.

Earlier in Kiev, a 12-year-old schoolchild received a summons to the army from- for the fact that the recruiting office confused his date of birth. The boy’s mother decided to personally go to the recruiting station and make sure of the mistake, since she thought that it would not work to prove her case by phone.
