Trump disowns prosecution of Biden’s son

The incumbent US President Donald Trump disowned prosecution of his opponent’s son, President-elect Joe Biden . He wrote on his page at Twitter that it has nothing to do with the investigation.

“I have NOTHING to do with the potential prosecution of Hunter Biden or the Biden family,” he said. Trump noted that media claims to the contrary are just “fake news,” adding that it is “very sad to watch.”

Previously The Wall Street Journal citing sources reported that the US Attorney General William Barr knew about the investigation against Hunter Biden, but kept silent so as not to influence the outcome of the election. At the same time, it was noted that in the last months before the elections, Trump and other representatives of US Republican Party pressured Barr to reveal the details of the cases of both Biden.

December 10, Hunter Biden said that the US Attorney’s Office for the state Delaware began to study its tax history. However, the son of the President-elect of the United States expressed confidence in his innocence, noting that he used the services of tax consultants. Later it became known that The US Department of Justice became interested in his connections with the Ukrainian gas by Burisma.
