Shark-bitten and bleeding man went home instead of hospital

On the morning of Tuesday, December 15, a shark attacked a 39-year-old man, whose name was not reported. A predatory fish bit his hand.

The victim went home on his own, from where a woman, whose name and connection with the victim were not disclosed, called an ambulance and made him go to the hospital. According to the recording of the call to the rescue service, she stated that the man needs help immediately because he is bleeding.

The caller told the dispatcher that the victim was conscious. On the recording of the conversation, you can hear how after that she assured the man that everything would be fine. The dispatcher explained to her how to deal with the bleeding.

The man was taken to the hospital. Medical staff confirmed that the patient was injured as a result of a shark bite. They did not specify either the patient’s condition or the severity of the injury, citing the fact that they have no right to disclose personal data.

Previously it was reported that a shark attack was killed on the Hawaiian island of Maui man. The victim managed to get out of the water and was hospitalized, but two days later his condition worsened and he died.
