About 13 percent of Ukrainians believe that the country did not have any major achievements in 2020. More than half of the citizens considered the ceasefire in Donbass as such, reports UNIAN citing the results of a survey by the sociological group “Rating”.
During the study, Ukrainians were asked to list the main achievements of the state over the past year. About 51 percent of the country’s residents noted among them a ceasefire and the announcement of a regime of silence in the territory of southeastern Ukraine not controlled by Kiev. The construction of new roads was named an achievement by 43 percent of the respondents, and the cooperation agreement with Britain – 17 percent.
Also, about 13 percent of citizens appreciated the legalization of the gambling business and the creation of the Diya application (digital passport, driver’s license). The same number of Ukrainians expressed the opinion that the state had not had any serious success at all over the past year. Less than 9 percent of respondents named the local elections as an achievement.
In addition, sociologists have compiled a rating of Ukrainian politicians, whom citizens trust the most. In the first place was the current president of the country Vladimir Zelensky , who is trusted by 43 percent of respondents and 54 percent do not trust. The second place in this list was taken by the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko , he was supported by 32 percent citizens. The third place in the rating was taken by the former Prime Minister of the Republic Vladimir Groisman – 29 percent.
It is noted that the survey was conducted among residents of Ukraine over 18 years of age by telephone interview. It was held in all regions, except for the territories not controlled by Kiev in the Donbass. The study involved 2.5 thousand people.
Earlier, almost half of Ukrainians considered the disappointment of the year of the President of the country, Volodymyr Zelensky, and 10 percent – the former head of state Petro Poroshenko . Only every fifth respondent named him the politician of the year for the current leader of Ukraine.
