Selling natural fur under guise of faux fur companies exposed

Representatives of the international Society for the Protection of Animals (Humane Society International) exposed popular companies in the fraudulent sale of things made of natural fur under the guise of artificial fur, according to Mirror.

Researchers purchased 11 items from e-commerce sites such as Amazon , Ebay , Shein and Romwe, and Just Your Outfit, Boho Style and Danielli. It turned out that several items contained fox, mink and raccoon fur.

In particular, we are talking about fox fur footwear from the Boho Styles brand, which, according to the product description, was made of artificial material. In addition, representatives of the Shein brand and the online platform eBay also claimed that they did not use natural fur in the production of the pullover and slippers, but experts found it in the composition.

“Eco-conscious buyers cannot be sure of the authenticity of product descriptions in online stores. It is extremely disappointing that well-known retailers have not yet taken any measures to stop the illegal sale of fur products,” the employee said. Animal Welfare Society Claire Bass.

According to the publication, an Ebay representative promised to issue a refund to defrauded customers. Amazon employees, in turn, have removed real fur products from sale on the site.
