Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez went to quarantine after meeting with the President France Emmanuel Macron , who has been diagnosed with coronavirus, according to El Pais.

The Spanish prime minister has canceled all events scheduled for the coming days and will remain in self-isolation until December 24. Sanchez is expected to take a coronavirus test in the near future, and, depending on the results, will decide on further plans.
Earlier on December 17, it became known that Macron was infected with the coronavirus. He went into self-isolation for at least a week and will work remotely. Together with him, his wife went to quarantine Brigitte Macron .
According to the latest data, 1,773,290 people have contracted the coronavirus in Spain since the start of the pandemic. Over 48,500 people have died from complications caused by the disease.
