Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko named the regions in which the most a difficult situation in connection with the coronavirus pandemic. It is reported by “Interfax – Ukraine”.
“The most critical situation is in the Chernihiv and Poltava regions, where the morbidity and mortality rates are among the highest among the regions of Ukraine and in comparison with those of large European countries,” Lyashko said.
According to him, in the Chernihiv region over the past two weeks the number of deaths per 100 thousand of the population is 12.4. The COVID-19 detection rate in the last 7 days is 73 percent. In the Poltava region these indicators are 9.8 and 63 percent, respectively.
In these regions, it is necessary to increase the scale of testing, added Lyashko.
